hello
I work in msp (server) and saved 2 type of version of the same project
one is the default "published" and one is a new version that i create as
archive (marked "yes" as archive). i do it so i can see both of the saved
projects in the pwa (web access)
if i want 2 see them i need to: collaborate and then "publish" ?- in some
projects i can publish and in the other one i get massege that i need to save
it in collaborate----> project plan and only then i can see it in the PWA !
what is the meanning of the "project plan" in collaborate? and why it
ask me 2 do so not in all the projects?
The target of my question is that i will see all the projects in the
PWA and then group by "version" so i can manage in the future all the
archive projects.
What is the meaning of the "published" version ? if i will create new
version and make him defualt ?
if I take 2 project with the same name but 1 is "published" and the second
is other version and save as the second as "published" - what happend with
the first one (the original one)

sorry about the long question...
thank you for the help

The .published version is the working or production version of the project.
It is the only version from which you can publish assignments (using
Collaborate - Publish - New and Changed Assignments or Collaborate -
Publish - Republish Assignments), and it is the only version that team
members can report actuals against. All other versions are for historical
purposes only. Although you can publish the actual project plan for any
project using Collaborate - Publish - Project Plan, SP1 of Project Server
automatically publishes the project plan in the background at the time you
close the project

Also, the system does not allow you to open an alternate version, click
File - Save As, and then save this alternate version as the .published
version of the project. Hope this helps.
