Works 4.5 to office 2007 conversion

I would like to know how to convert all my existing works 4.5 files to office
2007 files. Particularily the documents. The works 4.5 files are currently on
a HP P3 running win ME OS. I am trying to update to a Toshiba intelC2 running
win Vista With Office Standard 2007. Please advise me on the best way to do
this. I have been able to set up network to attempt to open files but keep
getting conversion errors. I also have an XP system on network but no office
installed,USB flash, and external HD for the Vista only. Thanks for any help!
