Works 7.0 to Office XP possible?

Hello,
I have just purchased a PC with Works 7.0 on it but would
like to have Office XP Pro on it. Do I have to buy a full
version of Office XP Pro to install? Also, do I have to
uninstall Works 7.0 prior to installing Office XP?

Works 7 is not a qualifying product for OfficeXP.

However it is a qualifying product for Office2003 so if your new PC comes
with WindowsXP, you will be able to run Office2003. If your new PC comes
with WindowsME (or any of the Windows9x O/Ses) you will NOT be able to run
it. WIndows 2000 with SP3 is also able to run Office 2003.

Stephine don't get office XP, Office 2003 is far superior
plus you get One Note and InfoTrac, two outstanding new
Microsoft applications.

Note that InfoPath and OneNote aren't included with retail suites. OneNote
is a separate purchase and doesn't require Office 2003.
