Works 8 will not open my calendar

When I try to open my Microsoft Works 8 calendar I get the following message:
Microsoft Works 8 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We're sorry
for the inconvenience.

Additional details:
Error signature
AppName: wkscal.exe
AppVer: 8.4.6230
ModName: wkcalac.dll
ModVer: 8.4.623.0 Offset: 0006736

How can I get my calendar to work again?

Yes, uninstall works 8 and then go to <C>:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Applications Data\Microsoft\Works and copy the file "mswkscal.wcd" to your Documents file. Then delete the Works folder and its contents. Reinstall works 8 and then copy the "mswkscal.wcd" file back into the Works directory. The calander should now work and all your previous data should be available.
