Works suite

I had a 3 year old Gateway that had Works suite! My
computer was hit by lightning and blew up! I have had a
computer built. I have my software but am curious as to
whether I can buy an upgrade Office XP or do I need to
buy a full blown verion?

Hi Smitty,

MS Office XP did not recognize MS Works as a qualifying
product for upgrades, but Office 2003 upgrades will recognize
Works v5/2000 and higher

IIRC, MS Works Suite [not just MS Works] contains a full copy of Word, which
*may* be eligible for upgrade.
