Works vs. Word

[Sleepless in Seattle]

I recently installed a Works Suite 2001 CD on Windows 98
and am able to access everything successfully EXCEPT Word
2000 SR-1. When I try to open it from within Works, I get
an error message saying that the task launcher can't open
Word. When I try to open Word from Programs, it just
flashes at me.

I had another Word 2000 SR-1 loaded previously on my
computer. It came from my company so I could telecommute
from home. I have since uninstalled it and removed it from
the registry. I have also performed Windows Installer
cleanup, but still to no avail.

Has anybody ever seen a problem like this?

If you installed Works Suite before uninstalling Word, there's a good chance
that Word was not installed with Works Suite. Try running the WS install
again.

Still doesn't work.
