Worksheet macro conditional format question

I have a worksheet that each week I copy & paste a list of 40 set names in
varying order each week. Each week I add the current weeks list to the
existing sheet. I now have 14 weeks of data in this worksheet.

How can I highlight (change cell format) a specific name each place it
appears on this worksheet. (Each entry for the 14 weeks highlighted)

Can this be done with a worksheet macro.

Hi,

Suppose the data is in column A you could enter the name you want
highlighted in D1 and then apply the following conditional format:

To conditionally format your cell(s):

In 2003:
1. Select the cells you want to format, say A2:A100
2. Choose Format, Conditional Formatting
3. Choose Formula is from the first drop down
4. In the second box enter the formula:
=A2=$D$1
5. Click the Format button
6. Choose a color on the Patterns tab (or any available option)
7. Click OK twice.

In 2007:
1. Highlight all the cells on the rows you want formatted
2. Choose Home, Conditional Formatting, New Rule
3. Choose Use a formula to determine which cell to format
4. In the Format values where this formula is true enter the following
formula:
=A2=$D$1
5. Click the Format button and choose a format.
6. Click OK twice

Shane - that weird entryh I had in another discussion? It was supposed to
have been attached to this one! Looks like we were thinking on the same
lines regarding this one -- your "D1" cell is what I was referring to when I
said "do you have a spare cell handy" or whatever.

I have three names that I would like to highlight at the same time. (Should
have mentioned this on original post, sorry)

Your answer will do one at a time it seems.

Is there a way to do multiples?

Thank You
Gary
