Worksheet tab font question

Bill

I just finished moving my old Excel97 program and spreadsheets over to
a new WinXP system and have had only one problem. For some reason the
tab fonts got bigger (10 pt. to 12 pt. I think). How can I set this
back to the correct size?

If you mean the sheet tabs, it is not in excel, right click the windows XP
desktop and select properties,
appearance>advanced> select scrollbar and reduce the size. Note that this
will affect all windows application

The size of the sheet tabs are governed by the setting for Scrollbars in
Windows Display Appearance. Mine are at 18. Start there and work your way
up or down.

So: with Excel Application closed.

Win98

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Appearance
"Item" drop down select Scrollbars
Change setting to Taste
Apply
OK

Win XP

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Appearance > Advanced
"Item" drop down select Scrollbars
Change setting to Taste
Apply
OK

Depending upon your settings, you may have to re-boot to see the changes.

Also note: this is a Global change and will affect all Applications.
