Workspace

I created a workspace - 20gb. I have removed the workspace from local
computer but it will not free up space on local hard disk.

How do I get my hard drive space back on local C:??

Hi,

If you delete a workspace, the disk space will be released immediately or
next time you start Groove. Have you re-started your Groove yet?

I deleted the workspace, logged off of groove and even rebooted the machine.
It would not release the drive space it used. I had to remove the software
completely and reinstall.

I have a co-worker that this issue is happening to as well.

Hi,

I would like to suggest that you can perform the following steps to release
the space:

1. Log into Groove using the account you plan to save. If you have
multiple accounts on this computer, please perform step 2 multiple times to
save all the accounts.

2. From the Options menu, choose Preferences, go the Account tab, and
click the Save Account As File... button to create an account file. Save the
file to your computer. If you have any workspaces in which you are the only
member, please Save the workspace as an archive file.

3. Log off the Groove account.

4. Right-click on the Groove icon in the system tray, and choose Exit
Groove (Shut Down Groove in 2.x).
5. Click the Windows Start button and choose Run.
6. In the Run box, add "-all" to the end of the command line, so it reads:
"C:\Program Files\Groove Networks\Groove\Bin\GrooveClean.exe" -all
7. Click OK.

WARNING: Running GrooveClean with the "-all" argument deletes all accounts
and workspace data. After this command, we can use the saved Account backup
file to restore the workspaces and re-download the data to your account.

Now, please restart your computer and restart Groove. Please refer to the
following article to restore the saved account and download the data back:

Is this issue resolved?
