Would Like to Test Access 2002

I have a database that won't run on my version of Access
2000, even though that's the version it was developed on.
Apparently the problem is with an append query that is
supposed to reset the first record in a query to "0" for
the purposes of ranking.

Anyway, it does run on my laptop which has Access 2002. So
I am thinking about buying that version for my work
computer. However, I want to be sure that doing this will
solve the problem.

In the past I think I have seen thirty day trial versions
offered by MS, but I don't see anything like that now. Can
anyone suggest how I could test to see if putting 2002 on
my computer would solve my problem?

While I much prefer Access 2002, and would recommend it over Access 2000 for
other reasons, if this is your only reason for considering the upgrade, and
if you haven't already done so, I would advise first visiting both the
Windows Update and Office Update web sites, to ensure you have all the
service packs and patches installed, for your OS, for Access, and for Jet.
