Pavel -- to supplement Chris' reply: What OneNote usually puts in the
startup is a shortcut to load the OneNote system tray icon. This
doesn't load the full program, but it puts a little OneNote icon in the
system tray that has some great functionality, such as:
1) By default, clicking on it brings up the SideNote window, where you
can put quickie notes in the system for use later. You can change that
to make it start the full program with a single click. Right-click the
icon, select Options, then select OneNote Icon Options.
2) Right-click the icon and select Create Screen Clipping to take a
clipping of any given segment of the desktop and automatically paste
that into a OneNote page.
3) Right-click the icon and select Start Audio Recording to instantly
record a conversation or meeting.
I've found that I don't need to always have OneNote loaded, since I can
click once and load the whole thing up in a matter of seconds. But,
that's just me. You can of course put the shortcut in the Startup
folder and have the whole program load up, if you like. Whatever works,
just presenting an alternative to you for consideration.
