keyboard sequence CTRL+ALT+numeric keypad minus sign?
inserted is a hex 28 and the line spacing of the line
where the symbol is inserted increases so that it isn't
consistent with the line spacing of the paragraph.

When I insert an em dash into a Word 2003 document using the menu sequence:
Insert > Symbol > Special Characters > Em Dash
the character inserted into the text is a hex 97 and the
