Anyone know how to open a .wps file on a Mac? I cannot open it with Word or
TextEdit. Any suggestions?

A .wps file is a file created by Microsoft Works, and I'm afraid it's not a
very common file format. You can open it with Microsoft Works (later
versions are Windows-only, I'm afraid), and there's a commercial solution by
Dataviz called MacLink Plus that can take care of many file formats, but
unless opening .wps files is something you need to do on a regular basis,
it's probably not worth the expense.

Or if the opportunity still exists to have the originator save the file as
RTF, that would side-step the problem.

(I hope I'm right in thinking that Rich Text Format is one of Works' options
for Save As it's been some time...).

As a last resort you might try opening a copy of the file with Word using
File>Open Enable: Recover Text From Any File.

Hi Blair:

Send that to anyone you know with a PC copy of Word. PC Word has a
converter for Works in it...

Cheers
