After merging pictures using the includepicture field, can I wrap text around
that picture?

If you right click on the picture, click on format
picture. Goto layout and choose how you wish to wrap the
text around the picture. Formatting this way makes the
picture a free-floating picture and allows you to move the
picture to wherever you wish. Be careful, if you get to
close to the margins, your picture may disappear. Keep
that undo button handy. =}

I am sorry I was not specific enough. I have about two or
three hundred pictures to merge so I wanted to do
something automated. Is their some sort of field command
that will allow me to do that.

What kind of database do you have the pictures in? Other
than the OLE in Access, I'm not familiar with such a
database.

Actually I have the path of the picture in a field in an
access table. I then use the includepicture field command
to merge the the picture with the memo field in access to
a Word document. The problem I have is once I merge it
into Word the text does not wrap around the image. My
desire is that there is a command I can use to get the
text to wrap around the picture.

Then is there anyway to put the field in a text box and
have the wrap in your merge document? I've never
personally tried that, but in theory, it should work.
Could you put a white box around where the merge picture
would be and format it already to accept the wrap around?

It worked. Thanks for your help. One quick question is there a way to
automatically update without pressing the F9 key.

Glad it worked... Which one worked for you? the text box
or the white box? I didn't know you had to hit the F9 key
to update. What are you updating by hitting the F9 key?

I used the text box. I am using F9 to update the pictures
once I merge the picture into the documents. Without F9 I
have a box with an X in it.

Oh wow... No. I have no idea how to do that. I'm
wondering if there is some VB out there that could do this
for you. Sorry I couldn't help you further.

I used the text box. I am using F9 to update the pictures
dialog box has a button that will let you convert your
existing textbox).
Now, merge to a new document, Ctrl+A, F9 to update all the
results.

Use a frame instead of a textbox (the Format/Textbox/Textbox
dialog box has a button that will let you convert your
