Wrapping text around images and drawings

Hi

When I try to wrap text around iamges/drawings, it doesn't seem to work.
The text or the image jumps and there is no wrapping.
I've noticed that I can achieve the desired effect by using tabulation but
this is tedious
In the past, I would simply slide the image into the text and Word would
wrap in front of my very eyes.
Why can't I do this any more?

Thanks

Some versions of Word insert images in line (ie as text characters) Word
2002 can be configured to insert in a variety of choices. Set the image
properties > layout to 'square' and drag the image where you want. Text will
wrap around it.

Hi

Unfortunately, unless I can't see the wood for the trees, this is exactly
what I am doing.

Right click on image, format image, packaging (third tab from left) and then
I select either the second or third tab from left (framed or close).

Sorry if the 'labels' are not right but my system is in French and I'm
guessing the translations.

I can remember achieving the desired results ages ago just after I had
bought my first computer so this is a real kick in the teeth!

Any further help?
