Write permissions for folders in Frontpage. How?

Well I am stuck. I am sure it is easy to fix but just dont know how. I
uploaded a database to my web site using another program since this function
was included in the program. I found though some information from a web site
saying the following:

"FrontPage manages the special permissions on your directory. These
permissions must be added to the directories in your account. Write
permissions, if necessary, are also handled by FrontPage. If you upload using
FTP, these permissions may not be applied correctly."

I have to allow write permissions and I dont know how to do this. Can you do
this afterwards, by just changing the properties of the folder? Or do I have
to do something more advanced? Thanks already in advance for all the help.

Import the database into your FP web, and FP will create the permissions and the connection. You can
not set it from within the FP, only the web host can set it if you don't let FP do it.

Sorry if this sounds silly, but what do you mean by importing the database
into FP web? How is this actually done?

Open the web / site directly in FP, then File Menu | Import or use drag-n-drop in the root of the
web, and then follow the prompts.

When I do this FP asks if I want to save the mdb file in a new folder called
fpdb. Should I say yes or no? If I say no then it's saved in the root I
suppose. Then I have to save all the accompanying files in the root also. Is
this what you meant. Thanks for all the help.

Say Yes, as that is the only folder FP will set the permissions on. Your ASP files can be anywhere
within the root web, such as a folder, but can not be in a subweb, unless you import the db into the
subweb.
