Write protecting all fields in a table

I have a check box on a form linked to a field in a table.
I wish to use this to write protect all fields in in that
record.(row)
such that records shown on a form cannot be accidently
altered. when the check box is activated .
This needs to be checked as the form views each record or
a new record is created and protected.
Any help would be welcome.
