writing along a line

We can draw lines by clicking Insert>line. Is there any way we can writ
along these lines?

To add text, you'd have to insert a text box (clear the border). You can then
group the text box and the line. Alternatively, depending on what you are trying
to accomplish, using a table cell with a bottom border might be easier.

There are only two ways that work: set the inserted text to be underlined
which will leave a slightly disjointed under line, Or,
