Hey all,

I'm wondering if it's at all posibble to write custom controls that I would
be able to use in web-based Infopath forms hosted on Sharepoint.
More specifically, I'm wanting to extend the standard textbox with a color
picker to select an rgb color. Is that possible? How do I get started?

Thanks,

Menno

Dear S.Y.M. Wong-A-Ton,

That's a very bizarre name you've got there. Thanks for the info. It's
pretty much what I expected after doing some research. I think Microsoft
really missed the mark here. The logical way of handling this would have been
making a bunch Infopath controls that would have parallel method that could
be overwritten for forms and browser. But what do I know?

Hi Menno,

Thanks for the comment on my name. Yours sound Dutch, maar ik zou me kunnen
vergissen? :)
You could create a suggestion for Microsoft and hope that more people vote
for your suggestion, so that Microsoft would consider it. But I read
somewhere that they already are/were considering it.

InfoPath is a 'young' product and browser forms are completely new, so some
patience is required, I'm afraid...
