On the dialog box where you input the formula, there is a Help button
which provides basic information. Start there.

Most of the published books on Project cover this topic. Search with
Google, Bing, or Yahoo on "microsoft project custom field formula" and
you'll find some web resources.

Do you have a specific question?

Hello A-Saleh,

In addition to Rob and Trevor's suggestion, you may find more
extensive help about selected Project functions is Microsoft Access
help. I'd start with Help in Project -- search for "Project
functions". Read the help there and then once you know the name of
the function, if you run MS Access ask for help on that function
from within Access. Some of the mathematical functions are very
similar to Excel as well.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
