writing japanese in office 2004 UK addition?

Can anyone help please?
I am about to purchase Office 2004 UK addition for my Mac. However my wife
is japanese and wnats to write japanese word docs and emails, but i will be
writing in english?
Can this be done with office 2004 UK or do i need to buy the japanese
addition?
