Writing PDF using MS Project '98!!!

Hello,
My question concerns writing a PDF file using MS Project '98. When trying
to save a pdf file I get an error message:

"There was an error found when printing the document "Microsoft Project -
XXX_98" to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop\*.pdf.
Do you want to retry or cancel the job?"

This causes MS Project to close and loose any changes made.
Any idea as to why that happens?

I can think of two root-causes of this problem:

1. you are writing the pdf file to a portion of an XP, NT , or Win 2000
(you don't say what you are using) which normally is not writable by
normal users. Direct the PDF output to file space for which you are
authorised.
2. the tool you are using to create the PDF (which you don't say what
it is and it is not Project since Project can't create PDF files) has a
flaw. Contact that vendor and ask them to check into the
less-than-graceful exit upon failure (probably due to No. 1 above).

Change the device to Ne02 or Ne03 instead of the c:\documents etc etc.
