We are running Exchange Server 2003 in Cached Exchange Mode with
Outlook 2003. A little scenario: Imagine that we have a user named
Jane Doe-Williams. Her exchange alias is JDoe-Williams. A user
receives an email from Jane Doe-Williams. The user sends a new email
to Jane Doe-Williams by creating a new email and typing "W" in the To
field. Why in the world does her name show up as "Doe-Williams, Jane
<ADOE>" instead of "Doe-Williams, Jane <JDoe-Williams>" ? I hope I
haven't confused you all. Her alias is listed correctly everywhere in
AD. I don't understand this. Also I misspelled another user's name
when started working here a week ago. The name has since been
corrected but the misspelled alias still shows up in the To field.
Any insight? I'll post more info if needed. It's a bit hard to
explain without you actually being here.
