Wrong default e-mail account in Reply/Forward

This issue concerns Outlook 2007

I have a few e-mail accounts that I use for each hat I wear. Recently I
added another account and that's when the problem started.

Problem: When I hit Reply or Forward, outgoing e-mails default to the new
account rather than to the acount I had set as my default for sending. No
such problem exist with new mail (opens with my set default).

Now I need to remember to change the account manually prior to sending a
Reply/Forward mail. This is both annoying and pron to mistakes.

Help is much appreciated.

Outlook doesn't HAVE a "default" account for sending on Reply or Forward -
it uses the account in which the mail was received. As it always has
been....

Do both addresses use the same server and logon? If it’s a catchall mailbox,
outlook replies using the acct that downloaded the message.

I am having the same problem. Both accounts use different servers.
When I click new email all is well. But even replies do not go back to
the account it was sent to. They go to an older account that is not
the default even. This even after I've deleted the account I don't
want to use and re-installed it.

Do both addresses use the same server and logon? If it’s a catchall mailbox,outlookreplies using the acct that downloaded the message.

I am also having this problem. I receive most of my email through a Gmail
account but whenever I hit Reply or Forward it defaults to send through my
own domain email which is the 6th account in the list.

I have installed all updates and the version is Microsoft Outlook 2007
(12.0.6316.5000).

Outlook always uses the account that received a message to send a reply. I
suggest verifying the receiving account by adding the "E-mail Account"
column to the header line. Use Field Chooser to do that.
