Wrong document name in Save dialog box

On my last computer (Office XP Pro) if I saved a new Word document, the
dialog box would suggest a document name, which was the first few words of
text in the document.

On my new computer (Office 2003 Pro) the dialog box always suggests the name
"Steve.doc" which was the first document I saved on the computer. Why does
it do this, and how do I stop it?

If the Title property of the document template contains text, it will be
suggested as the title of every document based on the template.

Hi Ni An,

Start a new blank document and check in File=>Properties=>Summary to see if the 'Title' field is blank.

If it is not (in your scenario if it says 'Steve') then close all documents, open Normal.dot and check the same properties there,
delete any text there then close and save.

The only template I use is normal.dot. How do I change the Title property? >>
