Wrong font in scanned docs

When I scan a text document and OCR it, the font it appears in looks wrong.
I may set it to be Times New Roman, for example, but it doesn't look as
though it is.

Anyone have any ideas on why this is?

depends on the OCR software and what sense it makes of what it 'sees'.
usually tries to be the same font as the original document but then word
styles also try to over-ride it.


Try CTRL + A to select it all then change the font.

Yes, I've tried that, but the font that I've asked it to use when the OCR
moves the doc into Word - which is Times New Roman - is called just that but
looks different!
