Wickland, Tim
I am finding that certain HTML e-mail messages are being displayed in
Entourage where parts of the message use the wrong font size. This is
annoying and makes the message hard to read.
What happens is that the sender has composed the message in a relatively
large font size; say, 14 or 16 point. When I view the message, though,
various individual words or phrases have reverted to 12 point in the same
typeface. Other font characteristics, such as bold or italic, are also
retained; it's only the size that has changed. (12 point is my default font
size in Entourage for HTML messages.)
The problematic messages are all sent via our institution's Exchange server
by individuals using some version of Windows Outlook client. I am, of
course, also receiving the messages from the Exchange server. I'm currently
using Entourage 11.3.6, but the problem existed with earlier versions as
well.
This problem is limited to Entourage, as the messages display correctly in
Outlook Web Access. There are some hints in their phrasing that suggests the
problematic messages may have been edited before being sent, but I can't be
sure of this.
Has anyone else seen this problem, and is there a fix? Thanks.
