Wrong group but please assist - Entourage

John Smith

I'd post this in another newsgroup but I can't seem to find one that deals
with Entourage....if one exists could somebody please let me know which one
it is

I've decided to join the enlightened ones and purchased a 12" Powerbook. I
also bought Office v.X and I need to get all my e-mail and attachments from
Microsoft Outlook on Windows into Entourage for Mac.

I don't have an Exchange Server to migrate the data through - these are just
2 stand-alone machines - one Mac on Windows.

What steps do I have to take to get the data into Entourage?

I'm assuming that an export to a .pst file on the Windows box is step 1; a
copy of the .pst to the Mac is the next step; and an import of the .pst file
is the final step.

Have I missed anything? Is there a URL that has a step-by-step guide?

Thanks.

You can use Paul Berkowitz's scripts Import-Export Entourage (you'll
find them on VersionTracker).

It should do the trick :))

Hi John,

The answer is somewhere on this page, most likely:

http://www.entourage.mvps.org/toc.html

And there is an NG

microsoft.public.mac.office.entourage

Which you should be able to find in roughly the same place as this one.
Since using Entourage, you might as well set it up as a newsreader, I
believe Help has directions, and read the NGs off the MS News Server, which
is most efficient.

If you run into problems, post back (preferably to the entourage NG). You
also might want to use Google Groups to search the entourage NG for previous
answers to your question.
