Hi D.A.,
Check in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control
panel to see what edition is listed. The CDs used
will generally need to match that entry. It's possible
that someone installed just the apps you'd find in
the Office Small Business Edition but used a Premium
CD to do so, which causes the problem. If that's
the case try backing up the files, then uninstalling
the Premium Edition listed, restarting the PC then
installing the Small Business Edition from that CD.

I'm trying to install service packs to a Dell Laptop that had Office
preinstalled. When I try to apply the SP, the installer asks for Office
Premium CDs, the CDs that came with the computer were Office Small Business.
Is there something I can do to apply the service pack? TIA
