Wrong "Remaining Work" shown in Resource Usage View

Hi,

I have a resource that works in multiple projects (A, B and C).
When I open project A in MSProject Professional and view Resource Usage, it
also shows a line item for projects B and C having correct values for "Work".
However when I inculde "Remaining work" column in Resource Usage, it shows
up the same values as "Work" for Projects B and C.

If I open project B also, then it shows the correct value for Remaining work.

Any workaround for it ? Opening all the projects to see correct values for
"reamining work" in resource Usage view is cumbersome.

Thanks

Have you tried using the Portfolio analyzer? Unless you need to seed the
task level detail, this might work better for you.

You might try this:

1. Launch Microsoft Project Professional
2. In the Project Server accounts dialog, deselect the "Load summary
resource assignments" option
3. Click the Connect button

After doing the above, when you open a project and apply the Resource Usage
view, the system will not display summary task assignments from other
projects and that should solve your problem. If you need to show summary
resource assignments at any time in the future, reverse step #2 above the
next time you launch Microsoft Project Professional. Hope this helps.
