Wrong work in summary tasks

I have installed Project 2000 and I have the following
problem: In summary tasks the calculation of the work
does not consider the allocation of resources to the own
task summarize (but, it does it for the calculation of
the costs). Also, the calculation of working hours for
the global of the project is erroneous (by excess, more
of the double of the real one).
I've installed the SP1 but the problem continues.

Any idea?

Mario,
First, if you are assigning resources to summary tasks, you will get the
correct calculations for Work but assigning resources to a summary task
is not recommended. You are much better off to create a separate subtask
for resources assigned at the summary level. The project plan is easier
to understand and less likely to give unexpected results.

Are you sure you are looking at the Work field and not Baseline Work? As
long as calculation is set to automatic (or use F9), resource assignment
work assigned at a summary task will add into the total Work field from
all subtasks of that summary.

Hope this helps.
