WSS and Project Server 2003 web parts

The web parts for Project Server 2003 that work with Sharepoint are quite
intriguing to us as part of our executive dashboard plan. What is the
relationship of these web parts to Project Server 2003, and Project Web
Access and how do they "connect" to display their information within WSS.
More specifically, can the project server be remotely located from the WSS
site and the web parts be used to "display" project information?? We are WSS
architects and not Project, but would like to add those web parts to the
dashboard.

Any architectural help would be greatly appreciated.

Basically, the standard Project Server web parts that are available for WSS
represent any of the ActiveX controls you might find in PWA. They can be
placed on any WSS or SharePoint portal site because they are fundamentally
an iFrame encapsulating the ActiveX control, which points to the Project
Server.

Check out the following url for more information on the different web parts
available:

(Sorry for the long URL - you may have to cut/paste.)

I hope this is helpful!
