WSS/Project Server

Confusing! We already have a Sharepoint 2003 test site running with WSS.
However when we install PS it automatically installs WSS on the server with
it. When we integrate them, do we use the one with SPS or do we use the one
installed with PS???

Project Server does not install Windows Sharepoint Services. It is dependent
on an existing installation. You would then run the Project Server
configuration wizard against it

You mention Sharepoint Portal Server... DONT under any circumstances run the
project server configuration wizard against the WSS instance that SPS relies
on ... it will break.

You would need to create a new virtual server (Web site) in IIS...

You can then use Sharepoint Central Admin to extend the virtual server as a
Sharepoint site... you can then run the Project Server configuration wizard
against that...alternatively install a completely seperate installation of
WSS on a different server to your Sharepoint Portal Server...note: there is
no real benefit on keeping the WSS site that Project Server uses on the same
server as SPS.

I hope this helps some
