WSS Site is not created automatically

Hi, our Sharepoint+Project Server SP2 is working OK, except for Project
Server is not able to create sites automatically when we publish Projects.
But it is able to create sites manually!!!!

Tip: we have separate virtual servers for Portal and Sites, and also
different from the Default Web Site.

Any ideas? Of course all user permissions are OK and tested

Did you check that under Admin -> Manage WSS -> Site Provisioning Settings,
the option for Web site creation is set to Automatic?

Yes, and it doesn't work. In fact, it NEVER has worked, we've always have to
create sites manually, and with no problems. But we want it automatic.

Any more ideas?

If you specified an Extranet URL, make sure it's /sites and not /projects
like the example on the page shows.
