Greetings!
My predecessor and I had many challenges getting WSS 2.0
installed. Well, it's up and running fine but the weird
item is that the files installed to C:\Windows\Common
Files... instead of C:\Program Files\Common Files...
As such, when the SharePoint Wizard is run, it doesn't
seem to realize where WSS is installed (and the 1033
english language files). The wizard fails returning a
message:
"SharePoint Configuration Wizard has failed to install the
Project Workspace template for the language with language
ID 1033. Install the SharePoint language pack for language
ID 1033, and then run the SharePoint Configuration Wizard
again. Setup will now exit."
- I searched the registry for clues to no avail.
- We're using Windows Server 2003 Standard, SQL Server 2K
SP3, WSS 2.0 and Project Server 2003 (not sure of version
because it is not installed yet, CD is dated May 2003.)
Thanks!
