Hi Joe,
The Local Installation Source (LIS) for Office 2003 may be damaged. You may need to use the LISTool to disable the previous
MSOCache folder connection, restart the PC then do the reinstall.

This can also happen if you have installed different MS Office family product CDs at different times.

When running repair/reinstall on Office 2003 I am told X2561407.cab is
missing and to install original CD. Even though X2561407.cab is on the root
of the CD, it is not seen or loaded and the repair fails. Any thoughts would
be much appreciated. >>
