Hi Everybody,
1. I just bought a new computer with Office 2007 already installed.
2. My wife and I dislike it.
3. The kids like it.
4. Can I install my old XP Office software and still keep version 2007
without a lot of aggravation.

You would need to uninstall 2007, install 2002, then reinstall 2007. Plus
you could only have one version of Outlook and there may be issues you have
to deal with. Seriously, I would suggest that you and your wife learn to use
the new version now. Down the road you'll be glad for the experience.

Just remember to move away from the computer when you start feeling
frustrated. ;-)

Phil, like you and your wife (and many other users), I couldn't stand Office
2007 either. Frankly, I found the interface to be ridiculous and illogical.
BTW, I've been an Office user for many years now.

After using the trial version for a few weeks, I removed Office 2007 and
re-installed Office 2003. In the meantime, I also tried out OpenOffice
(www.openoffice.org) and Zoho (www.zoho.com). I like the UI for both of these
a sight better than Office 2007. You can download OpenOffice (it's free) from
that website. Zoho offers web-based apps which provide the functionality of
the Office apps and is free for personal use. You may want to take a look at
those. That way, both you two and the kids can have what they like/want.

HTH!
