Yes, Gord, this is normal behavior.
i.e. default is Excel 11.........d-click on an *.xlsx file and the file
will
open in Excel 11 after converting. Assumes you have the compatibility
checker
installed.
Yes, I do have the compatibility checker installed. This also works as
you suggest.
I cannot replicate Excel not closing when multiple workbooks are open and
none
of them need saving.
Strange, but I've never been able to close XL2007 unless there were no
workbooks open. Maybe somethings buggy with my copy of MSO12 because it
happens on my test machines as well!
