I upgraded to Office 2004 for the Mac pro edition, from Office 2001;
I'm running Mac OS10.3 panther, and prior to the OFFICE upgrade I was
running office under CLASSIC mode in the operating system with success.
My problems have arisen when trying use certain older files which were
created in Office 2001:
I have an invoice form which I created using a resident template in
Microsoft Excel, from the Office 2001 package. It contained several
built-in macros, presumably created by Microsoft programmers. When I
try to use it now under 2004, it crashes OFFICE every time I click
SAVE, and when I reopen any Excel file, the one I had open at the crash
reopens automatically.
Then I created a new invoice from scratch, with no macros, but since I
pasted some of the old data into it, it too acts weird. If I open the
files and click on Disable Macros, they seem to work ok ( the new files
that is), but there should be no macros in them...And they still cause
previously opened files to reappear when I open them.
How can I use my old files and data successfully?
