Hi,
Excel 2007 : File saved as 2003 format.
I have a client with a spreadsheet that keeps "corrupting" with the error
"Data may have been lost" when opening the file.
Running on Windows Vista, Office 2007. On Opening the file the error is
"File Error : Data may have been lost" and the formula "Eomonth() " gets
replaced with "=#N/A".
I wasn't sure what was causing this, so I copied all the worksheets to a new
workbook and saved that as a new file. The error went away and then replaced
all the =#N/A with the correct formula's and saved again. I have done some
testing and it woudl seem you can save the file as XL2003 format
approximately 5 times before it corrupts and won't open on the next time.
The file size is 9084kb but when the "corrupted" file is created the filesize
drops to 9081kb.
If the file is saved as XL2007 format there doesn't appear to be any
corruption - yet - I am still testing this.
Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
Regards
Ian
