I attempted to open up dozen of workbooks in one instance
of Excel 97 on Windows NT. When I opened up the sixth
one, the error message, "Out of Memory," was always
returned. I was not able to open up any other Excel files
in that instance. That instance of Excel consumed about
40MB of memory. The amount of available physical and
virtual memory were about 300MB and 500MB. Therefore, I
don't think "Out of Memory" was caused by insufficient
resources on my PC. Does Excel 97 have any limits on the
maximum file size of all the files that can be opened in
one instance?
Thank you for your help in advance.
