Hello All,
Here's the issue we've been trying to resolve all week. We have 4 laptops
with Office 2007, that when they go to save an .xls or update an .xls
document, it creates the .tmp file in the network directory, but does not
rename the .tmp and save the .xls file...
i.e. "Saving to H:\Folder\Folder". Then 5-10 seconds later, "Document Not
Saved". No other errors. When I change the format to the newer format .XLSX
then it saves fine with no issues. It doesn't matter if it's an existing or
new document. And it only recently started happening within the last week.
No system changes have been made other than MS updates. Perhaps an office
update? Every other type of document format can be saved here as well. I
have tried the NetworkResiliency registry fix to no avail. Scanned for any
and all spyware/malware/virii. Completely uninstalled and reinstalled Office
2007. Tried from alternate user profiles. All with no luck and only with
..xls files. Checked in File Types and Excel is the associated application of
course. Not real sure where to go from here. I would rather not have to
reload these four machines just for this little problem... Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thank you, and have a wonderful day.
Sincerely,
