XML Maps trouble in Excel

Hello chaps,

Here's one for you: I want to map the fields from several forms into rows in
Excel. To do this, I've used 'Extract Form Files...' to unpack the form, and
added myschema.xsd as an XML Map in Excel. The XML Source task pane shows a
similar view of the data to that in InfoPath. Superb.

Problem is, the elements aren't showing as repeating elements, so when I
drag them onto a worksheet and then import multiple XML files, only the first
file is imported and the rest fail.

What am I doing wrong?

Cheers,

Paul

Just as a follow-up, I've edited the XSD to include a new top level element
which has a choice element containing the original root element. This fools
Excel into thinking it can handle repeating rows - one per form - but the
import still fails, presumably because the schemas now don't match.

All i can think is to create the whole form in a repeating section, but
interface wise that's going to look nasty, especially given that i've spit
the form into multiple pages (using views).

Does everyone understand what I'm on about here - I'm not sure I'm
explaining it very well!
