I am working through the Case-Study tutorial on smart
documents and am stuck when I try to "Add" the
manifest.xml file. For one thing, there is no
manifest.xml file in the downloaded directory. There is a
manifest_beta2.xml file so I tried to use that. Here are
the errors after I click on the Add button.
"XML expansion pack security has been disabled. This
makes development of the solution easier but allows unsafe
xml expansion pack components to run. Would you like to
re-enable xml expansion pack security?" I answered "NO"
to this per instructions.
Next "A file that's part of this XML expansion pack could
not be downloaded. The XML expansion pack may not work
properly. Contact your administrator for further
information. I clicked OK.
Next "Installation of the XML expansion pack is not
complete. 1 file did not download successfully.
Per the instructions I first ran the
disableManifestSecurityCheck.reg file before beginning. I
also clicked "Add" while my ContosoTemplate.doc was opened.
I hope there is a smart documents guru out there. I'd
love to move on and learn more. Thanks.
