XML not supported on Macintosh

Microsoft Excel doe not support save-as XML on the Macintosh OS X.
Microsoft supports save-as XML on the Windows OS (at least since Office
2002).

Does anyone know if Microsoft plans to support XML on the Macintosh OS X?
Of course, I need XML now for a project.

Hopefully Microsoft will be releasing details about Excel 2004 very shortly.
Until then we won't know what will be in that version.
