XP and Office 2000

I'd like to upgrade from Windows 98 to XP. How can I find out if all my current programs will still work, like Office 2000? Is there a list of supported programs? Can I assume everything that works with Win98 will work with XP?

While not everything works, there are very few applications which will not.
Some old games and particularly old non-standard hardware (e.g. scanners)
may have problems; check the manufacturer's website for new drivers.

Office2000 works fine on WindowsXP.

While most things should work just fine, you clearly are concerned.
Recommendation: make a list of the top 10 or 20 programs that you have
and are important to you. Rank them in order of importance. Contact
(web site, phone, email, etc.) the owners/developers of each of them
and as them about their view how their program will work on XP.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
