XP Failure

Okay, I originally thought I could not open Office 97 files in my XP, but after checking some other things, I cannot open any files. Every file I attempt to open says File not available. I "repaired" my office installation and still get the same error message. I ran a virus scan on my computer and nothing comes up. Any ideas what is going on? Everything worked fine until yesterday.

I think you need to do a repair installation of XP, Kimm if, as I understand
you, you cannot open any files that are on your hard-drive.

You will need to go into Setup and set your BIOS to boot from the CD-ROM.
Then boot with the XP CD in the drive and select 'Repair Intallation'.

Hope this helps.

Have you tried a disk error-check?
