XP Office sp-1 update problem

I wonder if anyone has a fix for this problem I am having
when trying to update to SP-1 for Office XP. During the
update, I get a error message that states it cannot apply
the patch because of the Config.msi/PT20.tmp file is not
correct. I unstalled and reinstalled the original Office
software ans reattempted the SP-1 install, but came up
with the same error meessage. Does anyone havee any
ideas???
