XP Pro Problem

I have posted the following message on an XP site but I think everybody over
there is dead. Can anybody here help please?

I am running XP Pro and when I try to drag and drop data onto a CD drive I
get an error message which says: '(Drive) is not accessible. Incorrect
function.' The drive does contain a blank disc.

Can anybody tell me what is happening?
