XP product key

I have a new laptop that I wish to install my Office XP upgrade on. I keep
being asked for a 20+ product key to activate. On the certificate of
authenticity there is no such number.
Any ides?

The product key is on the yellow/orange label that's on your Office XP case
or sleeve.
